Klim Dakar Jacket Product Description The Klim Dakar Motorcycle Jacket is designed for rugged off-road conditions in the toughest weather conditions Designed for dual sport and off-road riders the Klim jacket shows a special focus on ventilation flexibility and a lightweight One of the main ways Klim have achieved this is with zip off removable sleeves for when its really sweltering outside Lastly thanks to Klims top-quality materials it is also abrasion resistant and also matches well with the Klim Dakar Gloves and Klim Dakar Pants series So the Dakar jacket will also be in competition with the Revit Offtrack and the Dainese Tempest 2 D-Dry Jackets Material The Klim Dackar Jacket is composed of a highly durable lightweight 600 denier chassis which means it will be thick without restricting your movement However for even better comfort and abrasion resistance the jacket includes Karbonite Micromesh on the back and in stretch zones for ventilation and Karbonite Ripstop overlays on the back shoulders and elbows to keep you safe from the track Lastly Klim have added 500D 4-way stretch zones to give you a full range of motion while tearing up the dirt Lastly for additional visibility the jacket includes 3M Scotchlite reflective material in the arms chest and back Safety For protection the jacket is fully D3O compatible but since it is also meant as an off-roading jacket it does not come with any protectors included The jackets fit is compatible with D3O armor and includes elbow and shoulder pockets Though the shoulder armor will provide plenty of safety once installed this added safety goes away once you remove the sleeves Comfort Since the jacket has been designed for the roughest and toughest of rides it has been designed to flow large amounts of air thanks to the 8 vents spaced throughout the jacket In the wrists there are two massive adjustable wrist vents with dual zippers that run from the wrist almost to the elbow The biceps also include 2 zippered vents with two additional sleeve hole vents Lastly there are two vents in the back next to the pouch in the back However if these vents are not enough then Klim have even given you the option of unzipping and removing the sleeves effectively turning the jacket into a vest for a maximum level of airflow For storage the Klim Dakar Textile Jacket includes 2 chest pockets 2 hand pockets a rear pocket for storing the sleeves and 2 interior chest liner pockets Each of these pockets are zippered and adjustable to ensure nothing falls out and they are all in the main body of the jacket so you wont lose anything in the zip off sleeves Finally Klim have also made the jacket adjustable to give you an optimum fit Besides having an improved athleticized overall fit and comfort the cuffs include Velcro adjustment tabs there is a pull tab in the collar and there are adjustment straps in the waist For extra comfort Klim have also included a comfort collar with collar tabs on either side to prevent it from flapping in the wind Summary The Klim Dakar Jacket is ready for the toughest hot weather off track trails Using removable sleeves and an abrasion-resistant outer shell Klim have delivered an excellent multi-season off road / dual-sport jacket perfect for situations where road durability and performance is critical If youd like to learn more about the Klim Dakar riding jacket then make sure to check out and subscribe to our YouTube channel where we have plenty more Klim gear reviews gear guides and helmet road tests
